My wife and I had a great one-week tour of southern Morocco with Travel Exploration Morocco, in May. It was essentially a private tour, put together by Alecia Cohen, for just the two of us in a Toyota Land Cruiser with our driver Hussein, who speaks English and French, along with Arabic and Berber. Hussein told us a lot about Morocco and the Berbers while driving, but we also had at least four excellent local guides at various sites. Our tour included a (thankfully) short ride on a camel and a very nice night in a luxury tent in the Sahara. And the rest of the lodging was excellent as well. Read more

It is difficult to describe near perfection--our driver, with a college degree in Linguistics, the sumptuous riads where we stayed, the superb recommended restaurants reserved in advance, the detailed 15 page itinerary and the pre-arranged well-informed city guides. My wife and I just completed an incredible 10 day Jewish Heritage Tour of Morocco . Alecia Cohen of Travel Explorations was very helpful in setting this up and was amazingly responsive to e-mails during the planning stage My wife's parents were born in Fes and Casablanca and with Alicia's help along with the help of our driver Ismail, local guides and others, we were very successful in finding various sites relating to her family history in Morocco which was a very moving experience.
